Southwell

Bechers Court Southwell is a heritage led residential development at the heart of the historic town of Southwell in Nottinghamshire. The site sits on the edge of the Southwell Minster Burgage and dates back to the early 1800s when it was originally developed as a House of Correction in 1808, designed by Richard Ingleman, and included two innovative prison designs, the radial and polygonal forms. The design was evolved around the two grade 2 listed buildings which remain from the house of correction with cues taken in form and materiality from the original buildings.
