The Advanced Technology Innovation Centre was commissioned following a successful competition bid, as part of a team lead by contractor G.F. Tomlinson. The building provides a mixture of striking, flexible work space and includes a mixture of studio and office units, together with high quality managed facilities. The building is designed to enable both new ventures and rapidly expanding companies to network and innovate.
The building forms one of the first phases of the new Science and Enterprise Park and was developed by Loughborough University on land to the west of their existing SportPark campus. The Advanced Technology Innovation Centre (ATIC), has proved very successful, attracting 35 high-tech companies from across the UK and achieving 90% occupancy just eight months after its launch. With strong demand for start-up space and more developed companies rapidly expanding, ATIC is already playing a vital role in driving local economic growth.
