The transition to an Employee-Owned Trust is an exciting new chapter for Franklin Ellis. Now a team of over 30 (-and counting!) talented architects, designers and technologists, we are delighted to take this next step in our journey which places our success directly in the hands of our capable team. With two permanent offices in Nottingham and Leicester, we have delivered award-winning projects across all major development sectors within the East Midlands, and around the UK.
Prior to this transition, Franklin Ellis was owned by Matthew Branton and David Franklin – two of our founding members. Their decision to remove barriers of succession and place the future of the company directly into the hands of employees, is a momentous occasion for the staff that have helped to shape FE over the last 30 years. Our ambitious team are empowered to drive forward the Practice, providing the best possible service and results for our clients.
Franklin Ellis achieves employee ownership through a Trust which holds and manages the controlling shares on behalf of its employees, with management of the company remaining safely in the hands of our directors. The day-to-day running of the Practice is supported by our newly formed Staff Council, and by the Trustee Board, the latter of which is headed by founding director David Franklin.
