Celebrating Design

Celebrating Design at Clerkenwell Design Week

The interiors team recently had the opportunity to travel down to London for Clerkenwell Design Week, a celebration of creativity, innovation, and community within the design world. The event brought together designers, architects, makers, and creatives from across the industry.
Sustainability and Circular Design
One of the most prominent themes throughout the week was the growing focus on sustainability and circular design. Many suppliers and exhibitors showcased innovative approaches to craftsmanship and material reuse, presenting thoughtful solutions that reduce environmental impact while enhancing both aesthetic and function. This was delivered through immersive installations, hands-on workshops, and insightful talks.
The Future of Workplace Design
We also saw a strong emphasis on functional design, particularly within the workplace sector, with many brands showcasing adaptable, intuitive solutions that support collaborative and flexible ways of working. A noticeable trend was the blurring of lines between workplace with residential and hospitality design, creating more comfortable, human-centric environments that prioritise wellbeing, flexibility, and day-to-day usability. It was encouraging to see how design continues to respond to evolving work patterns with both creativity and a conscious focus on human needs.
Why is it important to go?
Beyond the exhibits, was the community-driven atmosphere. Other than learning about new products and trends, Clerkenwell always promotes an open and collaborative spirit, encouraging interaction to engage with other professionals, explore new ideas, and be part of the conversations shaping the future of design.
Looking Ahead
We’re returning inspired – with fresh ideas, new connections, and excitement for what’s ahead in our industry. Clerkenwell Design Week served as a powerful reminder of the impact design can have when it’s thoughtful, collaborative and driven by real human needs. From sustainability and material innovation to workplace wellbeing and creative exchange, the event highlighted the evolving priorities shaping our built environments. We’re looking forward to bringing this energy into our work and continuing to be part of the conversation as design moves forward.
