The Barnum is a build-to-rent scheme by Blocwork, a joint venture between Network Rail (now Platform4) and Bloc Group, now owned and run by Grainger.

The building is 9 storeys including a split ground floor, with 1 additional mezzanine level covering half of the footprint above a lower ground car park level. The ground floor is dedicated to communal use. Its active frontage provides a sense of safety and wellbeing, and includes facilities such as a resident’s lounge, private dining room, a gym for residents and a commercial unit.

Designed to create 348 studio, one, two and three bedroom apartments of high-quality living space for long-term rent, these purpose built apartments form a permanent residential community. The building rejuvenated a key city centre location, and arrived at an important moment in the development of Nottingham’s southside.
