Crocus Place
Nottingham

Crocus Place is a new build, grade A office space located in the heart of Nottingham City Centre, close to the Midland Station. Occupying a vacant site on the southern edge of the Southside Regeneration Zone, the development will redefine the route along Arkwright Street and frame what is set to become an important approach to the city center and the Broadmarsh area.

The clients brief is to provide the city with a high quality, sustainable building that will be able to accommodate the growing demand for office space in what is a prime, highly accessible location, a short walk away from the amenities of Nottingham City Centre.

The layout of the building has been designed to offer maximum flexibility, which is provided by a notional partition arrangement and consolidated central service core, that is able to appeal to the widest possible range of commercial tenants.

Architecturally the design draws inspiration from the immediate context of the site, responding to the radical redevelopment of the area which introduces the historic features of the city to the ambitions of contemporary development. The concept seeks to unite the traditional brick frontage along Arkwright Street with the sleek, contemporary styling of the more contemporary developments that front onto the NET tram bridge to the east of the site.
