Leicester City Council Customer Service Centre

Project Description: Franklin Ellis Interiors are delighted by the positive feedback to the new Customer Services Centre recently completed with contractors Morgan Sindall. The client, Leicester City Council, required a new facility to complement its reorganisation of centres dealing with face-to-face service enquiries. The major fit-out work undertaken at the York House Customer Services Centre creates an effective working facility within a calm, welcoming and sophisticated environment across two floors. The design showcases the objectives of transparency, equality and efficiency. With its busy street frontage location the centre is very accessible, and care was taken to ensure the contemporary finishes are resilient to high footfall. To improve customer experience, the internal layout incorporates an initial triage facility leading to dispersed waiting areas controlled a sophisticated automated queuing system. A further investment in automated payment machines provides a convenient provision of payment services. The layout of support spaces ensures that staff are empowered to deal with a full range of enquiries in a safe environment.
