On behalf of Loughborough University, planning approval has recently been secured for the Loughborough Innovation Centre. This £4 million scheme is central to the second phase of the University’s Science and Enterprise Park and forms part of its wider efforts to help develop the regional economy by providing facilities specifically targeted at small businesses.Through a mix of office space, studio units and shared facilities, it will provide stimulating workspace which has the capacity to support up to 190 people within the overall Science and Enterprise Park environment. Franklin Ellis is working with lead contractor GF Tomlinson on the project and were appointed via a limited competition. Construction is due to commence on site at the beginning of October 2014.
